Doodle God, which launched in 2010 by JoyBits, brought a puzzle game spin on the world-building genre. Doodle God grew into a series with titles such as Doodle Devil, Doodle Mafia and Doodle Farm. Doodle God Universe joined Apple Arcade on Friday to join the vast selection of Apple Arcade games.

Doodle God Universe lets you combine different elements, starting with air, earth and fire. You can build new elements and items through puzzles to build your own universe and also help support the life that exists there.

Paul states that the Doodle God series is an A+B=C-style game. Similar mechanics are used in games such as Triple Town, 2048, and Little Alchemy. These games combine elements from previous games to create new ones. For instance the official trailer for the game illustrates how the combination of fire and bird produces a Phoenix. Doodle God's unique content, quests, puzzles mini-games and art stand it apart from variations and clones, Paul says.

Apple's new hardware also provides a boost to the game, such as 5G and A14 Bionic chips.

"The power of the modern Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, AppleTV -- as along with a variety of amazing technologies, like Metal that are integrated into Unity3D -- all this allowed us to implement all the most daring game design and visual concepts," Paul said.

For many years, gamers have enjoyed hours of entertainment playing world-building games like Minecraft, Terraria, Terraria and Stardew Valley. Paul states that Doodle God Universe, as every other game that builds worlds, is about exploring and discovering the unexpected.

Paul declared that world-building games can be extremely interesting for a long period of time and that many players would love to're-read Doodle God over and again like a good novel. "And in the situation of an absolute lockdown, when you're spending the majority of the time at home -what could be better than re-reading your favorite book, watching your favorite TV show or re-creating the world in the Doodle God Universe?"

To have the most fun with the game, players picking up Doodle God Universe must be open to experiments, Paul says. Doodle God Universe rewards curiosity.

"Use your imagination, make creativity your engine," Paul said. "And there's no specific pattern to follow when playing the game You can utilize your logical thinking or combine elements in a chaotic manner."

Apple Arcade has nearly 200 games, including Alto's Odyssey and Angry Birds Reloaded.
